News!
*I recently bought an old press release that EDD put
out around the time of El Moodio. It has some interesting info, and
I've put up an
online version - I encourage everyone to check it out!

*Raydr has started a message board for EDD fans at http://pub59.ezboard.com/blivedtotell.
He also had some insight into the meaning/origin of the name 'Eleventh
Dream Day':
Incidentally, many years ago ... 1992 I think, I was playing Lived to Tell for some friends. They asked me about the name, Eleventh Dream Day ... I
began making up some story about Buddhist monks and dreams and gave them a
line like "if you dream the same dream eleven times in a row, that morning following the eleventh night is the Eleventh Dream Day and the dream will
come true."
Then I made the big mistake of writing to the band and asking them the
question while telling them my bogus answer. Rick Rizzo's answer to me
was that my answer was better than anything they had so it was now the
answer.
And now we know... the rest of the story. ;-)

*I transcribed the lyrics to Beach
Miner, so there's something new on the Prairie
School Freakout page. (4/11/01)
*I finally bought Stalled Parade, and it's as great as
the reviews indicate. I especially like the first two tracks: Stalled
Parade & Ice Storm. I'll make a point of putting a scan of the album
cover and track listings up soon. Anyone decipher the lyrics yet? If so,
please email me!

*I've been alerted to a nice review of Stalled Parade at
Trouble
Bound. (1/31/01)
*My buddy Tom alerted me to an interesting bit of news -
Eleventh Dream Day has a new album
coming out Tuesday, September 5th 2000. The album
is called Stalled Parade lp/cd Thrill Jockey -- THRILL085.
Wow, I had no idea, thanks for the info Tom! (8/28/00)
*I'm still alive! (Been busy, not much news, etc.) I
even have an update. Paul in the UK alerted me to a great streaming
video for "I Could Be Lost." Go to www.launch.com
and search for Eleventh Dream Day and you'll find it easily enough.

*Here's proof that EDD are still alive
and kicking! The very cool site Supersphere.com
has a RealVideo
presentation of a set the band did at the Lounge Ax in Chicago
earlier this year!

Included in this set a rocking rendition of my favorite EDD song Among
the Pines. If you've never seen EDD live (like me) this is the next
best thing to being there! It's simply too cool. (2/3/00)
*I've added a bunch of new lyrics to the Ursa Major
page. I don't know how accurate they are though. Do you know the lyrics? E-mail me! (11/15/99)
*I've tried to organize the album pages better, because that's the focus
of this site. I'll try to keep updating regularly with more lyrics and stuff. Do you want
to contribute? E-mail me! (8/19/99)
*I was watching TV last night and saw an advertisement for the new online
bank Wingspan when I recognized the background
music was the beautiful Writes a Letter Home from Eighth!
I sure hope the band got their cut of the money from the advertising company that made the
ad. Nice national exposure for EDD's great music! (8/03/99)
*Wow! I got an email from Baird Figi who let me know that he's doing fine; living in
Arizona with his wife and little girl. He was also kind enough to correct the Watching Candles Burn lyrics. (8/02/99)
*I added new lyrics to the Prairie School Freakout page.
There are also some great auctions of EDD material on eBay-
CDs for Beet, Prairie & Lived to Tell! (7/20/99)
