1. Rose Of Jericho
(Music and Words. J.B. Bean)

I was recalling a story I heard the other day
About my friend Melissa
Moving not so far away
The snow was falling, it had been for days
When she ran out with a colored glass vase
She had the look of being saved
Melissa likes to dance the night away
She took off running down the empty street
The vase in her hand
And her sunglasses streaked with snow
Just like a crazed Brigitte Bardot
My friend didn't understand the scenario
Melissa and the vase looking like she had a place to go
Like she knew it had to go
Melissa likes to dance real slow
Watch her go
She ended up next to a graffitied garage
The clean white snow made it seem like a desert mirage
She held the vase far behind her back
Let it fly as it smashed up against the brick
Now she's feeling awfully optimistic
Melissa likes to dance the night away
The colored vase shattered like a meteorite
That crashed through the atmosphere
With flashes of colored light
I wish I had seen this incredible sight
Melissa, the vase blooming like the rose of jericho

2. Dream Of A Sleeping Sheep
(Music and Words. R. Rizzo)

There's a spot on the horizon where the rain falls heavily
From the black laden clouds
And I sit on the sun painted ground
As I sit on the sun painted ground
I think of the day when I won't move
Won't move again
Darkness will fall and erase my shadow
From the face of the earth
As I sit on the ground I know
I can smell the rain from far away
It may rain tomorrow, may rain today
It makes no difference because here I'll stay
And the waters will rise
Wash my body from the face of the earth

3. I Could Be Lost
(Music, B. Figi: Words. R. Rizzo)

I could be lost
In this rolling expanse
Unrealized doggerels
Riddle my mind
I look at my skin
It's translucent today
All the veins and tendons
Don't seem to be part of me
I could be lost If not for you And your gaze
    Left to roam in disguise
Room in your eyes
For both of us to lie
I could be wandering
These pot holed streets
Dodging the doggerels
That riddle my niind
I look at my feet
I forgot my shoes
I wiggle my toes
To make sure they're a part of me

4. It's Not My World
(Music and Words R. Rizzo)

Paul played a song on the jukebox
"When I Look In Your Eyes"
He played it everytime he came in
Which was hundreds of times
The other guys moaned in their beers
There he goes again
He's just living in the past
Why does he have to pretend

Paul started to ramble
About the days gone by
Mary used to play the piano up there
She sang so sublime
Hey did you hear about that alderman
His wife fell down the stairs
Same thing happened to Mary
You know you have to be careful

Over and over, by and by
Living by habits to get by
The world might be changing
Outside that door
But that's not my world anymore

5. You Know What It Is
(Music and Words, J. B. Bean)

All you did was drink up, link up
Now you better think up a new attitude
Before you're all unglued

Because you're building a divide
That's got you on the wrong side
It seems there's nothing I can do
You know what it is you gotta do
And you know that I know what it is, too

Maybe once it sounded romantic
When you're going down like the Titanic
But when they found your treasure chest
It was filled with only emptiness

With self destruction I'm accustomed
But I just can't see
Saying hey; wait up for me

6. Frozen Mile
(Music and Words, R. Rizzo)

It's cold outside
I'm moving slow
I came 23 miles today
Got a mile to go
Maybe I should build a fire
Before I lose the light
I wish to God
hadn't used my last match last night
I want to see the frozen mile
When your skin is cracking
It's hard to see
The beauty in a snowflake
Or the beauty of symmetry

7. Strung Up And/Or Out
(Music and words. R Rizzo)

I wake up in the morning
I really can't avoid it
You're always there waiting
Standing in the comer
I know what you expect of me
But you never really tell me
It's just something understood
Your patience is what kills me
Sometimes I get frustrated
And I treat you kind of rough
I know it's not your fault
But you hurt the ones you love
You give me inspiration
I know it's from inside me
But, I'll give you half the credit
You're always there beside me

Strung up angel with the burgundy heart
Strung out angel I know you want to kill me
Strung up angel with the burgundy heart
Strung out angel someday you're gonna kill me

8. North Of Wasteland
(Music and Words, R. Rizzo)

There was a tree
That grew outside my window
Amid the fields of cane
Amid unanswered questIons
It held a fruit of fatal mystery
And it soothed me to think
That it grew so close to me

In the morning
There's never any warnIng
Except the neighbor's rooster crowing
And the church bells ring
From north of the wasteland

There was a time
When I lived in a trailer
Amid the fields of cane
And unanswered questions
It still seems so absurd
One night outside my door
A wild boar that seemed so lost
We both knew we were caught

In a wasteland
there was no time or place
That we belonged
I was wrong
And I knew it from that night on

9. lt's All A Game
(Music, R. Rizzo: Words. J.B. Bean)

It's all a game
With results still the same
Camouflaged in no regrets
you cry either way
Take that smile
And tear down the walls
Of words this evening has built

You say you're still so young
Lots of things left undone
You know you're not so young anymore

When you stood so near
Was it out of fear
That there were feelings
You might forget
With your mazarine eyes
You justify
That in the moment lies
What you're all about

When it all comes around
I can't hold you up
And I can't keep you down
Pretty soon I'll have nowhere to stand with you
I've seen the palm of your hand
There's one thing you should understand
Honey your fortune's not looking so good

10. Trouble
(Music and Words. B. Figi)

Life is a burning flame
Held against the night

You are the wind
Disturbing that sight

Days aren't really clear
Purity in the night

Life is a burning flame
And you are the wind

Black is the outlaw color
Color of the night

It's the precursor to dawn
You don't mean much now

11. There's This Thing
(Music and Words, J. B. Bean)

There's this thing, lately
Where the sound of tearing fabric
Is louder than the traffic
Outside my window
There's this thing
What can I do

Round the head
Lies the ether
That tricks me into thinking
That when I shut my eyes I'm blinking
But I'm down for the count
There's this thing
What can I do

It's all dark, baby
Cries from the house next door
I'm awake and on the floor
The silence was fleeting
There's this thing

12. Daedalus
(Music and Words J. B. Bean)

Falling out of a dark night's dream
Were stars and angels under sheets of moonbeams
We ran for shelter into a bingo hall
Daedalus called numbers, ours was the next to be called

He warned us both about Icarus' flight
And the fall that he took from a light too bright
So we passed up the chance and went back home
When I heard the sound of the telephone
All I want is to fall asleep and dream

13. Angels Spread Your Wings
(Words and Music. R. Rizzo)

What are you doing
I was having a bad dream
I remember you in it
What were you doing

You had angels' wings
You weren't a bad guy

I recall voices
That didn't have faces
Telling me places
To gather my senses

Senseless all the same
Playing their game

Picture so perfect
You will endure me
And I will embrace it
That which comes in a flash

Angels spread their wings
Get ready to sing
