Hi, I'm Dr. Stone.

Dr. Stone was born and raised in Boston. He graduated from Boston Latin High School and Boston University where he received his undergraduate degree with honors while majoring in biology. He received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Harvard Dental School. While in dental school, he was awarded a scholarship of special achievement. In 1974, Dr. Stone completed a two-year specialty program in orthodontics where he received his Certificate of Advanced Orthodontic Training at Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry and had the privilege of being taught by Dr. Anthony Gianelli (internationally recognized as one of the brightest and most innovative teachers in orthodontics). Dr. Stone also earned a Doctor of Science degree in Orthodontics from Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry. Dr. Stone is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Massachusetts Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, in addition to local dental groups, study clubs, and several alumni societies. In order to stay on the "cutting-edge" of orthodontics, he constantly reads scientific journals and attends numerous lectures, courses, and meetings, which are sponsored by local and national orthodontic and dental societies.

On a personal note, Dr. Stone and his wife Susan have been married for over 35 years and have two wonderful children. Rachael graduated from Syracuse University and worked for five years in New York City in the fashion industry and also as an Assistant Publicist for PMK in New York City. She graduated from the International School of Fine Arts, in Miami, where she earned a degree in Interior Design. She has recently moved into a house in Delray Beach with her husband, Steve, who works at UBS Paine Webber. On February 12, 2003 (Lincoln's Birthday) they had their first child, Ryan (Dr. Stone's first grandchild!) and he is adorable. Rachael and Steve also have another child, "Maxx" a 3 year old Tibetan Terrier who is a great family dog. Dr. Stone's son Andrew graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University where he was a film major. He and his life and business partner Vivek are working on a full length documentary called "Break". In addition, they have a full-time commercial editing business in Manhattan. They provide a full spectrum of production and post production services, including Avid video editing. There are so many creative aspects to their business that in order to do their site justice, you're invited to visit them at www.mercimedia.com. The site is updated constantly.

Dr. Stone and his wife Susan have 2 dogs. Louise (Lulu) is a 3 year old Westhighland Terrier with a truly infectious personality. She loves watching other animals on television (really). Jack, a 7 year old PBGV, follows the beat of his own drummer. On a sad note, Max, Dr. Stone and Susan's Tibetan Terrier, passed on after 16 loving years.

For relaxation, Dr. Stone enjoys sports, movies, reading, travel, and economics. He enjoys helping friends and family with their investment planning. Previously, he was "addicted" to tennis for 20 years but an injury pushed him to his destiny of becoming a high handicap golfer (for non-golfers, that translates as "not good").

It's unfortunate that Dr. Stone was born with perfect teeth, so we thought you might enjoy seeing what he would have looked like as a young man with a headgear.
